Late summer perennials

Get the show going again in late summer with some of the many perennials you'll find in our garden centre which are at their best in late summer. Here are a few favourites:

Helenium 'sahins early' Orangey red flowers, shorter growing from Aug to end of September

Red hot poker (Kniphofia uvaria) has spires of tubular flowers from red to pale yellow

Aster 'Little Carlow' is one of many Michaelmas daisies, with cheerful lilac flowers

Aster 'white ladies' is a taller variety, with sprays of white flower

Anemone x hybrida 'Honorine Jobert' carries pure white flowers on dancing stems till autumn

Anemone 'September Charm' pink flowers

Penstemon 'firebird' has bright red foxglove-like spires till October

Sedum 'matrona' tops succulent dark purple leaves with flat ruby-red flower heads

Crocosmia 'emily mackensie' produces orangey bronze sprays of tubular flowers from August

rudbeckia 'little gold star' masses of yellow black eyed flowers - July to October

Echinaceas all varieties mixed colours - butterfly & bee magnets - Aug to Oct
