Everton Nurseries was started in 1922 and is still owned and controlled by the Collyer family.  The Garden Centre itself was opened in 1985, with the superb Camellias Coffee Shop and Restaurant opened in 2006!  More on our history here...  In the meantime, have a look around our great new website!

TAKING HARDWOOD cuttings is one of the easiest, and sometimes the only, way to propagate deciduous trees and shrubs. This technique is the quickest way to increase your stocks, and requires only suitable plants (see right) and a clear area of garden soil to complete the job.

The worst of the snow may have gone - but there could still be more!  Traditionally February is the coldest month of the year, and we still have all you may need to protect your plants, as well as keep you safe as well!  Come and see us for grits, rock salt, shovels and everything else you'll need this winter!

Every year there is a special week, appropriately starting on Vaentines Day, to encourage us all to think of our feathered friends, provide food for them, as well as give information about the nesting habits of birds!  We certainly have plenty of food and nest boxes and other items in stock to help you, and you can find further information the British Trust or Ornithology (a great charity) websbite here.
